Fuel surcharge

Due to the fluctuations in the cost of fuel, Oy Matkahuolto Ab will raise the fuel surcharge for all of its transport services starting 1 August 2006. Matkahuolto monitors the price of fuel and its effect on transport costs on a continuous basis.

The amount of the fuel surcharge is adjusted every month based on the cost index maintained by Statistics Finland (www.tilastokeskus.fi) for bus, motor-coach and truck traffic, the reference index being the average fuel index in 2004.

For international parcel deliveries, the fuel surcharge is based on the Brent Crude Oil Price (London) applied by the U.S. Department of Energy. Crude oil serves as the basis for the evaluation of fluctuations in the price of jet fuel and diesel, reflecting the changes in cost of carriage by air and road used by TNT.

• Bus Parcel products 6,5 %
• Delivery Parcel, Pick-up/Delivery Service and local and regular route deliveries 7,7 %
• International Parcel and International Air Parcel 20,5 % (fuel surcharge updated by TNT on an on-going basis. Always check the latest updates here.)
  

The fuel surcharge will be added to the grand total charged for all service products.
