Local Parcel and Local Express Parcel
Local Parcel
Local Parcel is an excellent solution for local consignments. Matkahuolto's Parcel Service picks up the consignment from the customer and delivers it to the consignee.
Freight can be paid by either the consignor or the consignee and the goods can also be
sent COD. The price is based on the total weight
of the consignment. This service is available from Matkahuolto's own service outlets.

Local Express Parcel
When a consignment must get to its destination really quickly, Matkahuolto's Local Express
Parcel is the best solution, as it will be delivered in two hours.
As the consignor always pays for the
freight
for a Local Express Parcel consignment, it cannot be shipped COD. The price is determined
specifically for each individual consignment.
Deliveries can be made Mon–Fri from
8:00 to 17:00 or as otherwise agreed.
The service is available in localities where Matkahuolto operates a service outlet.

| SPECIAL HANDLING CHARGE |
| A special handling charge applies to the following consignments: |
| * Long items (length of 1.5–3 m) |
| * Large flat items (one side of parcel is more than 1 m long) |
| * Items to be handled with care |
| * Hazardous substances |
| * and other consignments requiring special handling |
| LIGHTWEIGHT AND BULKY ITEMS |
| * The charge for lightweight items (specific weight less than 250 kg/m 3) is based on a standard specific weight of 1 m 3 = 250 kg. |
| * The charge for bicycles is based on the rate charged for 30 kg items. |
