Paper tickets for Matkahuolto bus travel in Finland can be purchased at any of the Matkahuolto
service outlets, a number of certified Matkahuolto agents and most travel agencies.
A bus ticket reserved in advance can be paid for and collected at any of the 680 R-kiosk
stores in the nationwide R-kiosk chain. To make a reservation, simply call the Matkahuolto
Customer Service Centre
or stop by a Matkahuolto service outlet. Reserved tickets can be claimed at an R-kiosk near you at
your convenience. To check the location of the R-kiosk nearest you, use the
kiosk

Matkahuolto Travel Cards are available for purchase at any of the Matkahuolto customer service
outlets and a number of certified Matkahuolto agents. The Matkahuolto Travel Card is subject to an
initial processing fee of €6.50, after which more value can be loaded onto the Travel Card at
any time at no extra cost. Additional value can be loaded onto Matkahuolto Travel Cards at any of
the Matkahuolto service outlets or numerous certified Matkahuolto agents, and, depending on the
type of ticket in question, at any of the R kiosks in Finland and sometimes onboard Matkahuolto
buses.
The Travel Card has a service life of 3 years, after which it must be replaced by a new card.
The initial processing fee for the Travel Card will not be refunded. It is advisable to keep the
card in a separate case to protect it from dirt, scratches and bending. Matkahuolto accepts no
responsibility for costs arising from loss or careless handling of the card.
Tickets can be purchased at Matkahuolto service outlets with cash, a Finnish debit card,
Luottokunta credit cards (Eurocard, Visa, MasterCard), American Express and Diners’ Club
credit cards. It is also possible to pay for your ticket with a Visa Electron card and a Nordea
Käyttöluotto credit card.
