Flexible delivery methods by country

Parcels are delivered to the nearest pick-up point chosen by the sender or determined by the recipient’s address. The delivery time is 2-5 days. Since Matkahuolto will send a text message when the parcel can be picked up, you need to provide the recipient’s mobile phone number. The phone number must be provided in the correct format together with the country code and any prefix, e.g. +46 123 456 789.

Our network in the Baltic's includes a total of almost 1200 pick-up points, of them 300 are parcel lockers located in Estonia.

Parcels are held at the pick-up point for 15 days and in the parcel lockers for 7 days, after which any uncollected parcels will be returned to the sender at their expense. No free-of-charge customer returns.

A consignment can consist of one package, the maximum weight being 20 kg.

Maximum dimensions Estonia: length 150 cm, length + circumference 300 cm. Maximum dimensions to parcels lockers are 39 cm x 38 cm x 64 cm.

Maximum dimensions Latvia and Lithuania: 39 cm x 38 cm x 64 cm.

Minimum dimensions 14 x 9 x 15 cm.


Limitations

Parcels may not contain fragile items, dangerous goods,
live animals, firearms and replica ammunition, motor vehicle tyres, perishable
products such as plants, goods requiring abnormal transport conditions, or any
content in contravention of the General Conditions of Carriage.

The parcel will be distributed to the recipient; the delivery period is agreed with the recipient by text message in advance and that's why you need to provide the recipient’s mobile phone number and email address. If the recipient cannot be reached, an arrival notification will be left for them to pick up the consignment at a service point in the destination country. Customer returns are not accepted. The service includes up to two delivery attempts (excluding Estonia where only one attempt is made). Parcels are held at the terminal for 7 days, after which the consignment will be returned to the sender subject to an additional charge.

A consignment can consist of 1 package, the maximum weight being 35 kg (20 kg in Estonia) and minimum weight 0.150 kg. The maximum length is 200 cm (100 cm in Estonia), length + circumference 300 cm and minimum dimensions 15 x 10 x 1 cm.

Delivery arrangements vary from one country to another. The service includes at least one delivery attempt. Delivery time is not agreed in advance with the recipient. If the recipient cannot be reached, an arrival notification will be left for them to pick up the consignment at a service point in the destination country. Consignments are not distributed to PO Box or Poste Restante addresses. No consignment returns, uncollected consignments will be handled on a case by case basis.

A consignment can consist of 5 packages, the maximum weight of each package being 30 kg and the maximum weight of the entire consignment 150 kg. The maximum length is 150 cm, length + circumference 300 cm and minimum dimensions 14 x 9 x 15 cm.

Express parcels can be sent to destinations all over the world using DHL’s Express Easy service. Complete and pay for your order on the DHL website and then bring your parcels to a Matkahuolto service point serving as a DHL customer service outlet.

Oy Matkahuolto Ab (“Matkahuolto”) carries parcels in accordance with the Road Transport Agreement Act and these General Conditions of Carriage specifying the legal responsibilities and obligations of the consignor, carrier and consignee.
