International parcel services for contract customers


The effects of the coronavirus on parcel deliveries abroad

We largely also deliver packages to home doors and pick-up points abroad. Delays may occur in some places in European export deliveries as a result of country- and region-specific interest rate restrictions. Due to country-specific restrictions, we are currently unable to ship to pick-up points in Germany and Netherlands.

If the pick-up point shipment has already been delivered to those countries, we recommend that you instruct the recipient to pick up the shipment as soon as possible.

Consignments delivered to companies that cannot be delivered due to the closure of the company's coronavirus epidemic will be automatically returned to the sender after the first delivery attempt.

Parcels to Sweden and Denmark

The parcel is delivered to the Parcel Pick-up Point nearest to the consignee’s (recipient’s) address or a point chosen by the consignor (sender) within 3-5 workdays.

Maximum parcel size: length + circumference 300 cm. Maximum length is 150 cm and maximum weight 20 kg.

Parcels are collected at the pick-up point indicated in the arrival notification. Parcels are handed over on presentation of an ID. Parcels are held at the pick-up point for 14 days after which any uncollected parcels will be returned to the sender subject to an additional charge.

Cash-on-Delivery is not available for this service. The parcel may not contain any fragile items, dangerous goods, live animals, firearms or parts of firearms, perishable products or any content in contravention of the General Conditions of Carriage.

Parcels to Germany, Austria and the Benelux countries

The parcel is delivered to the Parcel Pick-up Point nearest to the consignee’s (recipient’s) address or a point chosen by the consignor (sender) within 4-6 workdays. Due to country-specific restrictions, we are currently unable to ship to pick-up points in Germany and Netherlands.

Maximum parcel size: length + circumference 250 cm. Maximum length of any one side is 100 cm and maximum weight 20 kg.

Parcels are held at the pick-up point for 7 days after which any uncollected parcels will be returned to the sender subject to an additional charge.

Cash-on-Delivery is not available for this service. The parcel may not contain any fragile items, dangerous goods, live animals, firearms or parts of firearms, perishable products or any content in contravention of the General Conditions of Carriage

Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania

The parcel is delivered to the Parcel Pick-up Point nearest to the consignee’s (recipient’s) address or a point chosen by the consignor (sender) within 2-4 workdays.

Maximum parcel size: length + circumference 300 cm. Maximum parcel length is 150 cm. Maximum length of any one side is 150 cm and maximum weight 20 kg.

The recipient is always notified of the parcel before delivery. The phone number must be provided in the correct format together with the country code and any prefix. Parcels are held at the pick-up point for 7 days after which any uncollected parcels will be returned to the sender subject to an additional charge.

Cash-on-Delivery is not available for this service. Parcels may not contain any dangerous goods, LQ and EQ dispatches, live animals, perishable products or any content in contravention of the General Conditions of Carriage.

Express Parcels to destinations all over the world


You can send an international flight parcel to almost any country in the world.

A foreign flight document can only contain documents. Maximum weight 5 kg.

The International Air Parcel service is available for almost every country in the world.
The parcel is delivered to the Parcel Pick-up Point nearest to the consignee’s (recipient’s) address or a point chosen by the consignor (sender) within 1-8 workdays. At its shortest, the delivery time to a destination in Europe is just one workday. For other destinations, delivery takes 2-8 workdays depending on the country of destination.

The maximum dimensions of the parcels are 60 x 60 x 120 cm and the weight is 30 kg, and larger / heavier shipments of this cannot be sent via Matkahuolto.

The phone number must be provided in the correct format together with the country code and any prefix. Cash-on-Delivery is not available for this service. Parcels may not contain any dangerous goods, LQ and EQ dispatches, live animals, firearms or parts of firearms, perishable products or any content in contravention of the General Conditions of Carriage.

If applicable, DHL will handle customs clearance in the destination country. The consignee pays the customs and official fees and taxes of the shipment. If the consignment cannot be delivered to the consignee, unpaid customs and official fees will be charged to the
consignor. If the consignment is destined for Russia (St. Petersburg or Moscow), check first with Matkahuolto whether the item involved may be sent to Russia. It is also possible to ship to individuals in the following countries, but due to various content restrictions, it is important to make sure that shipping is possible before sending from DHL Customer Service. Ko. countries are Afghanistan, Burundi, South Sudan, Iran, Yemen,
Cuba, Libya, Mali, Niger, Syria. DHL customer service tel. 0304 5346 (0.835 € /
