Purpose of the data file

The personal data are collected and processed in order to ensure order and safety and help with the investigation of crimes, damage and accidents in Matkahuolto’s facilities.

Regular sources of data

Recording surveillance cameras are installed in Matkahuolto’s facilities in the following localities: Forssa, Hamina, Helsinki, Hämeenlinna, Iisalmi, Imatra, Joensuu, Jyväskylä, Järvenpää, Kajaani, Kemi, Kouvola, Kuopio, Lahti, Lappeenranta, Lapua, Lohja, Loimaa, Mikkeli, Mäntsälä, Oulu, Pietarsaari, Pori, Porvoo, Rauma, Riihimäki, Rovaniemi, Salo, Seinäjoki, Sodankylä, Tampere, Turku, Vaasa, Vantaa, Varkaus.

Regular disclosures of data

The data are not disclosed on a regular basis. The data are only disclosed for the purpose of attaining the objectives listed in section 4. No data will be transferred outside the EU or EEA.

File protection policy

All documents/records in hardcopy format are kept in locked rooms. Documents are disposed of in accordance with the data security guidelines. All documents and information in electronic format are password-protected in accordance with the data security policy and with a firewall to prevent unauthorised access. The data can only be accessed by duly authorised personnel.

Right of access

Under sections 26–28 of the Personal Data Act, everyone shall have the right to access to the data stored on him/her in the camera surveillance file of Oy Matkahuolto Ab. After having supplied sufficient search criteria, everyone shall have the right to access all his/her personal data stored in the records subject to the rights and restrictions set out in more detail in the Personal Data Act.  Any request for access shall be signed and submitted in writing to: Oy Matkahuolto Ab, P.O. The reply to the request for access will be sent to the party submitting the request by post. If less than one year has elapsed since the previous request for access, a reasonable fee shall apply.
