TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ONLINE PURCHASE OF TRANSPORT AND DELIVERY SERVICES

Matkahuolto’s online store operates in compliance with Finnish law, the terms and conditions for online purchase of delivery and transport services and Matkahuolto’s General Conditions of Carriage.

The prices displayed apply to transport and delivery services purchased online. The prices of services purchased at Matkahuolto terminals, Matkahuolto agents and Matkahuolto’s Parcel Pick-up Points may differ from the prices quoted on the online store.

Online purchase of transport and delivery services

Online purchase of transport and delivery services is a service that customers can use to buy and pay for the transport and delivery of Near Parcels.

When making the purchase, you will receive an activation code. Take the activation code with you when you go to a Matkahuolto terminal or Parcel Pick-up Point to send your parcel. It is needed for printing the address card.

After making the online purchase, you have seven calendar days to bring your parcel to the dispatch point.

A purchase made online is irrevocable once the payment is made. A transport and delivery service purchased online cannot be changed or cancelled.

Sender’s and recipient’s details and the accuracy of information

When you purchase the transport and delivery service, you are asked to submit your name, address, mobile phone number and e-mail address and the same details for the recipient. This information is necessary to allow Matkahuolto to provide the service in compliance with Matkahuolto’s General Conditions of Carriage and the Road Transport Agreements Act. The mobile phone number and e-mail address are used for sending the order confirmation to the buyer and the notice of arrival to the recipient. 

Matkahuolto may use the information collected in this manner for developing its monitoring and statistics system related to the electronic services (such as online and mobile services), marketing and for facilitating online transactions. Read the register file description.

The buyer is solely responsible for the accuracy of the contact details submitted when purchasing the transport and delivery service. Matkahuolto accepts no liability for any failure to deliver or send the order confirmation or notice of arrival if this is due to incorrect contact details.

Changing and cancelling a transport and delivery service purchased online

A transport and delivery service purchased online cannot be changed or cancelled.

Payment services provider

The payment transfer operator and payment services provider is Paytrail Oyj (business identity code 2122839-7) which offers these services in collaboration with Finnish banks and credit institutions. The payee indicated on the bank statement or credit card invoice is Paytrail Oyj which transmits the payment to the seller. Paytrail Oyj is a duly licensed payment institution. The payment transfer services related to payments through online banks are operated by Paytrail Oyj (2122839-7) in collaboration with Finnish banks and credit institutions. From the user’s point of view, the system operates in the same way as ordinary online transactions.
