Send large parcels and pallets as freight

Freight is our service for large or heavy consignments weighing more than 35 kg. As a rule, delivery takes 2-4 business days from the date of order. Shipments are delivered to the recipient’s address between 8.00-16.00, without prior notice, and unloaded in the immediate vicinity of the delivery vehicle.

Pick-up is always included in the service. Pick-up service is not included in the basic price of shipments. The freight will be picked up the next business day. The service includes two delivery attempts. If the delivery fails, Matkahuolto will attempt to redeliver the shipment for a separate fee.

In more remote areas, pick-ups and deliveries are only made on pre-defined days of the week.

Service features:

• The shipment may not weigh more than 1,200 kg.

• The price of a shipment is based on the distance to be covered, the type of transport platform and the number of transport units.

• The service is intended for business recipients.

• Dimensions: Half Euro-Pallet (80 x 60 cm, height 210 cm and weight 500 kg), EUR-Pallet (120 x 80 cm, height 210 cm and weight 740 kg), FIN-Pallet (120 x 100 cm, height 210 cm and weight 925 kg) and Special Pallet (200 x 80 cm, height 240 cm and weight 1,200 kg).
