Matkahuolto to serve as Stockmann’s principal carrier during the Crazy Days

Stockmann – some 460 stores, presence in 19 countries

The Stockmann Group offers an extensive range of high-end fashion, beauty and household products for embellishing your daily life and crowning your festive occasions. Stockmann inspires its customers to make responsible and sustainable choices.
The Stockmann Division operates 8 department stores in Finland and the Baltics as well as the stockmann.com online store. The fashion chain Lindex is part of the Stockmann Group.

Stockmann offers fashion, beauty and household services at its department stores and remotely. Additionally, Stockmann carries a wide range of business gifts and provides fast and reliable delivery services across Finland and abroad!

Crazy Days – a success story spanning almost five decades. Since 1986, Crazy Days, the best-known retail sales campaign in Finland, has inspired hundreds of thousands of customers to buy insanely affordable branded products. The Crazy Days campaign is held twice a year at all Stockmann department stores and the hullutpaivat.com online store, which accounts for a sizeable and steadily increasing percentage of total campaign sales.

Matkahuolto’s home delivery service available to Crazy Days customers

“Even in the past, it’s been possible to collect orders placed during the Crazy Days at Matkahuolto’s pick-up points or locker terminals. Now Stockmann is extending this cooperation by adding Matkahuolto’s home delivery service to the delivery options. Crazy Days is a massive logistical effort whose success depends on fast and reliable deliveries. Matkahuolto responds to this need by offering a seamless customer experience and truly extensive service network, which supports Stockmann’s customer-driven business strategy. Matkahuolto’s goal to achieve carbon neutrality in 2030 lends support to Stockmann’s sustainabilty programme,” says Veronica Rinnelä, Stockmann’s eCommerce Director.

“It’s great to work with Stockmann. For one thing, the customer experience is of primary importance to both of us. Sales volumes during the Crazy Days are so high that joint advance campaign planning as well as active monitoring and flexible responses during the campaign are key to success. This cooperation has worked well for both Matkahuolto and Stockmann,” says Matkahuolto’s Key Account Manager Tuomas Räisänen.

Commitment to responsible business is an integral part of Stockmann’s values and day-to-day operations

Stockmann’s long-term objective is to carry out profitable business by acting responsibly in compliance with sound ethical standards as regards financial performance, society and the environment.

These principles, underpinned by corporate values and management policies, create the framework for the company’s efforts and procedures in the interest of a sustainable future.

Stockmann’s code of conduct underlies the ways of working of the entire staff and executive management. Moreover, Stockmann requires that its suppliers and other partners comply with the same principles.

Matkahuolto – Finland’s most sustainable parcels and logistics brand
