Receive a parcel - pick up with a pick-up code

As a rule, parcels are delivered to Matkahuolto parcel lockers and parcel points within 1-2 working days, in larger cities also on Saturdays. You’ll be notified as soon as your parcel is available for pick-up.

  1. You’ll need a pick-up code to collect your parcel, whether at a parcel locker or a parcel point. You will receive the pick-up code via email, text message or a notification in the Paketit app. Some outdoor parcel lockers only work with the Matkahuolto Paketit app and Bluetooth connection.

  2. If you’re unable to pick up the parcel yourself, you can share the pickup code you received via the Paketit app or SMS with someone else, who can collect the parcel on your behalf using the code. As a registered customer, you can also find the pickup code on Matkahuolto’s website under your incoming parcels, and if needed, you can order home delivery for a parcel located at a service point.

  3. You can purchase additional storage time for your parcel in increments of 7, 14, or 21 days via the Paketit app or, if you're a registered customer, also on our website—if you're unable to pick up your parcel within the original storage period. You can extend the storage time for all incoming parcels, except for those in a parcel locker or if the sender has restricted extensions.

How to pick up a parcel from an app-based outdoor locker:

  1. When you're at the outdoor parcel locker indicated in the arrival notification, open the Matkahuolto Paketit app and tap "Open locker".

  2. Allow the use of Bluetooth and precise location sharing.

  3. Follow the app instructions and pick up your parcel once the locker opens.

  4. Finally, close the locker.

If you're unable to retrieve your parcel from the outdoor locker, please first check your phone settings to ensure Bluetooth and precise location sharing are enabled. If the issue persists, contact our customer service (tel. 020 33 6161, Mon–Fri 8–17, call charges per local/mobile network rate).

Order your XXS parcel directly to your mailbox

For the XXS parcel, you can buy the Mailbox Delivery extra service anywhere in Finland. XXS parcels are delivered to the recipient’s mailbox within 2-4 business days. Upon delivery, you will receive a delivery confirmation in the Paketit app.

You can provide your door code in the settings of the Matkahuolto Paketit app or ask the sender to add it to the parcel details at the time of dispatch. The driver will also try to reach you by phone if a locked door prevents them from delivering your parcel.

If we are unable to deliver the parcel to your mailbox, the parcel will be delivered to a Matkahuolto parcel point. You will be notified by text message or email when the parcel is available for pick up.

Has the recipient not collected the parcel you sent and it is being returned to you?

According to our product conditions, we will charge the sender for the return costs. You will receive a notification by text message or in your Paketit app, allowing you to choose the return option and pay the shipping costs of the parcel to be returned to you. You can also choose the pick-up point for your return consignment that is most convenient for you.

You can easily verify the authenticity of the payment link by using the consignment ID in the shipment tracking section of our website or in the Paketit app.

If you do not want to pay the cost of the returned parcel, you can authorise Matkahuolto to recycle the parcel in an appropriate way.
