Refund for tickets not used due to the strike
You can apply for compensation through the Trips and Tickets app for a valid season ticket that remains unused due to a strike. Compensation is generally possible for those days on which it was not possible to make any trips. You can apply for compensation within a month of the end of the strike, and the compensation will be paid to the original payment method approximately one month after receiving the application.
Please note that we automatically reimburse single tickets purchased through Matkahuolto website or the Trips and Tickets app that cannot be used if the service is canceled due to a strike. For these, you do not need to contact us separately, as we receive information about canceled services directly from the operating company and refund your money using the same payment method you used to purchase the ticket.
