Claim damages form for consumers

To ensure smooth processing of the claim, we ask you to review the instructions below, carefully complete the compensation claim form, and attach the requested documents to verify the value and damage of the damaged goods.

Follow these steps:

  1. Complete the compensation claim form carefully.
  2. Attach proof of the purchase price paid for the damaged or lost goods. The proof can be, for example, a screenshot of a bank transfer or another payment transaction.
  3. Weigh the damaged goods without packaging materials or specify the weight of the lost goods or their parts in the compensation claim.
  4. Photograph the damaged goods and all packaging materials:
  • photograph the outer packaging completely, including any possible damages
  • photograph the damages on the item and the damaged product as a whole
  • take a picture of the opened contents, ensuring the goods and the protective materials inside the shipment are visible
  • photograph the packaging from the inside without its contents so the interior of the box is fully visible
You can attach files of up to 5 MB to the compensation claim. If the attachments exceed the maximum size, you can also send them via email to kuljetusvahingot(at)matkahuolto.fi. Always include the shipment tracking number in the message. Submitting the compensation claim is not possible if the information is incomplete or the file size limit is exceeded.
