Customer returns for online stores

We offer two return options for online stores to make the return process smooth and easy for both you and your customer. Ensure customer satisfaction by providing return options that work even without logging in.

Two return options for your customers

Address label

You can include a pre-printed address label with the shipment if you wish. Your customer can return the parcel to any Matkahuolto parcel point or parcel locker (excluding outdoor lockers).

Label-free return

Your customer can make a return either in the Paketit app or on Matkahuolto’s website without logging in. You can limit the return period with a delivery-bound time restriction or offer an unlimited return option.

Instructions for different return methods

  • Include a ready-printed return label with the shipment for the recipient.

  • The parcel can be returned to any Matkahuolto parcel point or parcel locker (excluding outdoor lockers).

  • The easiest option for the return sender.

  • You can receive returns to multiple addresses if needed.

  • You can define a return time limit in the Business Portal under your company details.

  • The return can be made via the Paketit app or Matkahuolto’s website using the original shipment ID — no login required. The parcel can be returned to any Matkahuolto parcel point or parcel locker.

  • You can offer an unlimited return period for your shipments. Please agree on the use of this option with Matkahuolto’s Sales.

  • The return can be made via the Paketit app or Matkahuolto’s website using the original shipment ID — no login required. The parcel can be returned to any Matkahuolto parcel point or parcel locker.

  • With an unlimited return period, the parcel can also be returned using a company-specific return code at Matkahuolto service points (excluding parcel lockers), without using digital channels. In this case, you will not see who returned the parcel. Make sure to inform your customers of your return code.

  • An activation code for individual shipments can be retrieved from the Business Portal.

  • You can also integrate activation code generation into your own system. Activation codes are retrieved via the address label API.

  • The return sender can drop off the parcel with the activation code at any Matkahuolto parcel point. Please note that returning via an outdoor parcel locker requires the shipment to be sent through the Paketit app.
