Nationwide series tickets

The 22- and 44-trip annual tickets that can be loaded onto a travel card will be discontinued, and in their place we have introduced nationwide series tickets. Nationwide series tickets will only be available for purchase and use in the Trips and Tickets app.

Nationwide series tickets can be used to travel on all services for which Matkahuolto’s ticket products are available, within the limits of the number of kilometres purchased for the ticket. You can check the validity of your ticket in the Matkahuolto Timetable Search. If nationwide series tickets are not valid as a means of payment on a particular service, the additional information box (i) in the Matkahuolto Timetable Search will specifically indicate that “Matkahuolto ticket products are not valid on this service”.

• 10 trips, 30 days

• 20 trips, 30 days

• 30 trips, 30 days

• 44 trips, 30 days

• 44 trips, 180 days

We have increased the number of ticket product options and now also offer lower trip volumes to meet the varying travel needs of our customers.

Please note that the validity periods for ticket products have changed. Nationwide series tickets are valid for either 30 days or 180 days, depending on the ticket product.

Ticket cancellation and refunds

A purchased ticket product can be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase in the Trips and Tickets app. Self-cancellation is only possible for unused tickets.

More information about the ticket

Nationwide series tickets for children are sold to children under 12 years of age. The ticket product sold to over 12-year-olds is the series ticket for adults.

The series ticket does not include the right of transfer, i.e. each stamping takes one trip off the ticket. If you wish, you can also pay the fare of several people with your series ticket.
