We mitigate climate change and prevent habitat loss

The bulk of our emission footprint comes from carbon dioxide emissions, of which about 10% comes from our own operations and the rest from the value chain, mainly from subcontracted transport and purchased products and services. We are making our transport solutions more environmentally friendly and reducing emissions through measures in line with our climate roadmap, including switching to fossil-free fuels in our transport.
Our goal is to halve our total emissions from 2020 levels and be carbon neutral for all our operations by 2030.

We are moving away from fossil fuels
From the beginning of 2024, the overwhelming majority of our trunk transports will run on renewable fuels. With the change, our annual fossil emissions will be significantly reduced, by up to 20% of our total emissions.

Emission calculation based on the GHG Protocol
Our emission calculation covers the entire company and the greenhouse gas emissions of domestic parcel services. We calculated our carbon footprint for the first time in 2020, which serves as the baseline for tracking emissions development in the following years. The calculation is carried out in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol standard. An independent external expert conducts a critical review and annually approves the implementation of the emission calculation.

We promote a sustainable lifestyle
Did you know that the average emissions per kilometer of buses and coaches in Finland are only about a third of those of passenger cars. Together with our partners, we support a sustainable lifestyle by producing and marketing sustainable public transport services.
