Change your password and secure your account
We have detected unusual activity on some Matkahuolto accounts, which may indicate that an unauthorized party has attempted to access another person's account. This can happen if someone has used the same username and password across different services, and those credentials have been leaked in a data breach from another service provider — for example, in the massive global data breach reported in June.
We will notify affected individuals directly via email or text message if we detect any suspicious activity on their account. In such cases, the best way to protect your information and account is to change your password immediately.
To change your Matkahuolto account password:
Log in to your account at: https://www.matkahuolto.fi/login
Go to My Details > Change Password
It is important to change your password if you have used or are using your account through a browser with a manually created password. The Paketit and Routes and Tickets apps use either a one-time code or third-party login (Apple, Facebook, or Google), depending on your preference. If you use the app only, changing the password is not necessary — nor is it possible within the app.
